Come and join the fun and read the blog of Family Wellness brought to you by Ray Freitas through Ray of Life Marriage and Spiritual Empowerment. Family is everything to all of us, without family we would never survive. With times becoming more and more challenging, mental health will be tested, and often times our relationships are the biggest victim. To help us all with these challenging times, living a life from within and becoming one with the divine is the goal without the role of institutions.

Mental health       Love and Spirituality       MOTIVATION       HAPPINESS

There are two forms of consciousness, one being human, the other being divine. With human consciousness we experience things in the third dimension, which includes sadness, anger, lust, greed, hatred, etc. Entering into divine consciousness we are able to expand our spiritual awareness where we can detach ourselves from materialism, sex becomes a form of love and not lust, and we make room to learn from others and not judge their circumstances that they are in.

A few ways to achieve this are constant spiritual practice, through prayer and meditation, getting to the root of the issue through energy healing or some other form of healing, working on our chakras, breath work, and learning to not let the things that are out of our control impact living in the present moment.

Once we are able to achieve this divine aspect all humans have the ability to experience, many of our emotions from the past will not bother us, nor will they come up in our triggers. We are constantly spiritually evolving and becoming more aware of our actions, our words, and our becoming better versions of ourselves.

When it comes to our families it is critical that we are able to expand our consciousness, it allows us to live more freely, not letting the little things bother us, making the most of our careers and jobs, understanding which foods are more spiritually healthy than others, and learning how money works in the spiritual realm. The more we are able to give to others, the more abundant of a lifestyle we will live. Keep in mind that money is not the only thing we can or should give, we should also give our time to others too. Money can always be made, but it is our time that we will never be able to get back.

Divine consciousness is another term to explain soul consciousness, God consciousness, Buddha consciousness, Krishna consciousness, or Christ Consciousness, depending which culture anyone is from. If you are Christian the goal is to become like Christ, becoming as he became. For the Buddhist becoming more like the Buddha is the overall goal. Is it possible to achieve this living in this world in its current state, yes absolutely. We must tune out the noise, turn off the cell phones, and start learning that none of what the material world means anything. What matters most is the relationship we have with God, the earth, ourselves and with others, understanding that we are all connected.

With all the division and fear in the world, no wonder mental health seems to be a key topic these days. However it has always existed. We see therapy and coaching promoted on social media platforms all the time and the need for spiritual guidance is at an all time high.

Let’s face it when it comes to our families we should do anything in our power to make sure we set them up for success. Yet if we are faced with frustration, emotional pain, depression, lack of motivation, it is going to be more difficult to accomplish what we feel needs to be accomplished. Therapy at one time was considered taboo, or it was deemed as deeply unpopular. Statements like he’s seeing a therapist what is wrong with him? Let alone investing thousands into a coach for personal development.

Many of our traumas, fears, emotions, beliefs are rooted in our family dynamic. When it comes to asking for help, we often lack the self awareness that our trauma is rooted in family, rather it was passed down emotionally or given to us by emotionally unbalanced parents. Let alone if they forced religion on us to the extreme. In many families, going to a therapist is seen as a form of weakness or you've brought shame to the family. Is it really a form of weakness if we decided to attack and resolve our past issues? Is it a form of weakness if we ask for someone to help us stuck in life to achieve things we are having a hard time achieving? Is it a form of weakness to ask for help? No of course not, it is a form of strength and courage to start addressing our problems, and what better motivating factor than our families to want to improve our emotional well being.

So the question is what service is needed to turn around mental health issues? Well it takes an overall approach based on where we are in life. If we are mad at the past a therapist is what is needed. If we are worried about our future, a coach is great for guidance to get us out of our rut. Finding whichever spiritual practice that helps us the most definitely helps by giving us faith and hope that things will get better. Books are an excellent tool, especially self help books of authors who have been through similar situations in life as us. Improving our health and diet and the quality of our environment around us helps too.

There is no set cure for mental illness or mental health issues, as I feel our thoughts and emotions are pure energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed. This is where transformation becomes imperative. Fear and shame is what prevents us from taking the next step forward in life, but yet we take risks everyday without even realizing it. The power and message of love will move us in ways that many have forgotten. Learning to love ourselves and relearning the most innocent but most powerful feeling there is and that is love. The love that exists in our hearts. In order to change our circumstances, it is not our minds that need to change, it is our hearts and the love that comes from within them. Once we have a change of heart about our circumstances, we begin to take action.
